Still a work in progress.... both myself and this page.

Originally from Detroit, and currently living in Sacramento, I've had an interesting time getting from there to here. Graduating from college with degrees in Economics and Film from a Big 10 school, naturally, the next step for my life in 1997 was to head to Orlando and work for the Walt Disney World Resort in parades and shows as a character performer. The natural extension of that endeavor, of course, was going to law school. So in between constitutional analysis, drafting legal briefs, and assisting in pretrial preparations for the Orlando District Attorney, I'd do the rounds as Disney Royalty for a breakfast in Cinderella's castle or pick up a nighttime parade shift.
Yep. It was a weird time.
I met my wife during my third-year of law school; it was her first. We flirted and insisted we weren't dating for almost six months until we finally decided that we were. Two years and three successful bar exams later, we were married.
Although I was raised in a Catholic family and could talk the talk, I never made the Christian faith my own until two years into my marriage when I realized that trying to make life work on my own terms wasn't exactly working. I finally understood who Christ was and embraced a relationship with Him, who in turn redeemed and strengthened my relationship with my wife. It has been blessing after blessing ever since.
We learned how to go from living as two, to living as one. Strangely enough, living as one caused us to live as a family of 3 in 2008 when my oldest son was born; then a family of 4 in 2010 when my daughter was born; and as a family of 5 in 2012 with the birth of my youngest son. As I (re)write this, it's almost the end of 2014, so I think we're in the clear for having more kids!
Spending the past 6 years having a family has been a wild ride as anyone in the same position can attest; I call it "beautiful chaos." But now that our youngest has turned 2, we have gone from making a family to raising a family... this is where the fun really begins.
All the while it still amazes me to think that this whole ride began in a law library where my future wife's first comment to me made me laugh harder than any woman made me laugh before..
...It all began with a laugh.
